Skocznia Große Olympiaschanze znana wszystkim głównie ze względu na TCS, jest systematycznie niszczona przez turystów. Obiekt sportowy mimo posiadania barier i zakazów jest deptany przez osoby odwiedzające niemieckie miasto. Przyczynia się to do uszkadzania się igelitu. Wiadome jest, że turyści nie niszczą skoczni specjalnie, jednak wchodząc na zeskok łamią regulamin, narażając tym również swoje zdrowie.
Niszczenie się skoczni jest dużym problemem dla prezydenta klubu SC Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Michaela Mauera. Sam podkreśla, że deptanie niekorzytsnie wpływa na stan obiektu, jak również zagraża ludzkiemu życiu.
W Polsce taki problem jest raczej niespotykany i mamy nadzieję, że tak zostanie.

We all know that tourists don't do it on purpose but when they step on the landing area they break the procedure rules and put themselves in danger.
Damaging the Große Olympiaschanze is a huge issue for the Club President of SC Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Michael Mauer. He also highlights that stepping on the landing area make it damaged and it is risky for tourists.
In Poland, this kind of problem is not present and we all hope that it won't be a problem.
